Battery operated candles aka LED Candles are a nice touch in the home. Some LED candles have remotes. There is no learning curve for the remote...just choose settings: ON, OFF, 4 hrs, etc. I think LED candles add a soothing mood boost at the start of evenings nightly (wishing the world peace is also a good thing).
These LED taper candles are real wax and look real. No candle drama since nobody can start a fire with knocking them over or catching clothes or hair on fire when they reach for the casserole dish. No problem if you forget to turn the candles off (do manually or set timer). The taper candles also add ambiance at the table or in the room. Kids and dogs...no problem, no drama.

LARGER, THICKER LED CANDLES
Here are real wax LED candles. The one on the left has fresh AA batteries. The candles look so authentic. Look at the nice touch the candles add to the room; adds warmth, ambiance.
I like the wicks you see on the LED candles below. I do not like the wicks that are wider because they move forward and backwards, and I find them to be annoying.
If there is a power outage, you are prepared.
